The AHRC-funded Hot Source! project is organising an online workshop as part of its training activities on the 24th of January 2024, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.
This workshop is designed for researchers who are new to digital photography and digitisation or those who want to reinforce their basic skills. Participants will explore the core elements of digital photography and gain the knowledge of capturing suitable for research, archives, and publications digital images. Furthermore, the basic principles on digitisation of documents and 2D objects will be introduced.
This workshop is appropriate for anyone who needs to capture high-quality digital images for their research, and practise on archival photography and digitisation of documents and 2D objects.
Following this workshop, the participants can register for a 1:1 ‘Practical Surgery’ session on the 31st of January.
This is a beginner-level workshop. No previous knowledge is required. If additional training is needed on 2.5D and 3D capturing, you can also register for the Capturing of objects in 2.5D with RTI (intermediate level), and 3D capturing of objects with the use of photogrammetry (intermediate level) respectively.
