The AHRC-funded Digital Skills In Visual And Material Culture network service will host a one-day event at the Woburn House Conference Centre in London on 12 June 2023, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
The Digital Skills In Visual And Material Culture network service is a multidisciplinary project co-designing and piloting a training framework in digital skills to upskill researchers and practitioners working in visual and material culture research in the Higher Education sector, Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums (GLAM), and the creative industries. Our focus is on scoping the needs of the sector, as well as developing and evaluating training activities that will support the creation, management and use of multidimensional (2D/3D) digital media.
The workshop aims to provide a forum to learn more about UK and European initiatives to promote digital skills, as well as to look into organizational strategies for upskilling and identifying future skills requirements. We hope to bring together various stakeholders including individuals and organisations, such Higher Education Institutions (HEI), Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums (GLAMs) and the creative industries.
